Delaney Young is a singer-songwriter and musician based in Washington, D.C.  A classically trained pianist and experienced commissioned songwriter, her music marries the aural aesthetics of mellow indie-folk with the chordal structures of alternative-indie/jazz, all with an emphasis on unconventional, evocative lyricism. Her songs explore themes of love and loss, faith and mystery, home and self. Listeners have compared her sound to the likes of Lizzy McAlpine and Madison Cunningham.

Released in May 2020, the Wheaton College singer-songwriter project Fear Not featured Young's debut song, "psalm 77". After a 3-year hiatus, she released "Wrestle" in February 2023. Later that year, she released her first EP, "pilgrim memos". The project is a collection of live, unedited voice memo recordings of 4 songs she wrote while backpacking through Europe. Its style and format aim to mimic the content of its songs: raw and honest words to and from God about doubt, discovery, and journey.

You can find her music on all major streaming platforms. For updates on new music and upcoming shows, follow her on Instagram at @delaneylyoung_music or check out delaneylyoung.com.
